Phil King, Owner & Technician
Phil was born and raised in Hiram, GA where he started riding at an early age on his Honda 50 mini bike. At 19, Phil began working for a Harley-Davidson dealership in Marietta, GA. After starting out washing bike and sweeping floors, Phil was trained to perform new bike set ups, install accessories, and performed light repair work. After 5 years, Phil went to work at a Harley-Davidson dealership in Atlanta where he continued training as a Technician, moved up to Service Writer and eventually became the Service Department Manager. In 2004, Phil met Laura and eventually moved to Fayette Country where he became the Parts and Service Manager at a Victory and Custom Brand Motorcycle Dealership in Peachtree City. After 5 years in business, the dealership decided to close their doors in June 2008. Since it has always been a dream for Phil to own his own shop, he figured the time was now or never, so on September 2, 2008, we opened King Kustom Cycles. We hope the best is yet to come…

Garon Watson, Technician
Garon was born in Knoxville, TN but raised in the Kennesaw, GA area. When he was 9, he got his first Honda Elite Scooter. Fast forward a bunch of years and Garon bought his first motorcycle, a 1983 Harley-Davidson FXE. The very next day, the clutch cable broke so he visited a local motorcycle shop to help him repair it. After being ripped off not once, not twice, but three times with his motorcycle no better off, he decided it was time for a career change. Garon enrolled at the Orlando Campus of the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute. While attending classes, Garon worked part time as an entry level service technician for a motorcycle rental shop. After graduating, he was hired at the Harley-Davidson dealership in Orlando as a certified technician. A couple years later, Garon moved back home to GA where he was hired by Phil King at the Atlanta Harley-Davidson dealership. Over the next few years, Garon worked for several H-D and custom brand motorcycle dealerships in the area, all the while continuing his education through factory training programs, including Harley Davidson, Victory, American Iron Horse, Big Dog Motorcycles and various custom brands. Garon believes in doing it right the first time, and you can see from the big ol’ smile on his face that he is truly a genuine guy!

Laura King, Owner & “Weekender”
At this point you have probably read all there is to know about me. You won’t see me at the shop much during the week, since I have a “real job” and do not get to have as much fun as Phil and Garon turning wrenches all week. I handle all of the behind the scenes work like the accounting & marketing, etc… For those of who I have not met, I look forward to meeting you soon!
